Poet and Artist Allison brings her creativity to Scranton

Allison Ranieri HorrocksMeet Allison Ranieri-Horrocks, a Marywood graduate who received her BA in English and minors in History and Writing with a prevalent focus on Women’s Studies.

Allison was awarded the Charitas Loftus IHM Medal for Excellence in Poetry in 2015 and has performed some of her works here on campus, in downtown Scranton (where she opened for memoirist Amy Archer) and in Sneem Ireland. She can now be found in Marywood’s Visual Arts department learning the intersection between Art and administrative work and aiding the faculty as the Department’s secretary.
