Isela graduated from Marywood in May of 2013 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration. She went on to obtain her Master’s degree from The Low Residency MFA in Illustration Program at The Hartford Art School, becoming the youngest student enrolled at the time.
After graduation, she fulfilled her dream of long-term backpacking and traveled to Europe for 7 weeks, visiting 15 cities. She now teaches and designs for an organization with the purpose of providing affordable art classes to the inner-city youth of Paterson, New Jersey.
When not at work or busy with her own freelance practice, Isela is spending her time with friends and family, cooking up healthy plant-based meals, or scheming her next adventure with her best friend and former Marywood alumnus, Nathan Miller.
